Many of us have been watching members of the Fox News Channel morph into progressive talking heads over the last couple of years.
Many of you have stopped watching Fox news as it has become more opinionated then news oriented. The news channel has honed its skills on with identity politics and even brings on flamethrowers who have never been in the trenches to call out the other side on race when they do the same thing, but that’s another story.
It seems Matt Drudge caught a whiff of the changes happening at the network and called them out on Monday afternoon. I guess he thought they went too far laughing while discussing terrorism. I watched the clip, and although I saw some laughter, I didn’t understand Drudge’s outrage.
Conservative Twitter accounts then attacked Drudge for utilizing his free speech. How dare he speak against Fox News is the thought I got reading some of the timeline mentions. Here is the video Drudge referenced:

“A segment on Fox News this morning where hosts laughed and joked their way through a discussion on political impact of terror was bizarre,” Drudge wrote. “Not even 48 hours since blood flowed at synagogue?”
“Check your soul in the makeup chair!” he added.
The tweet is a rare public rebuke of Fox News from the conservative commentator and publisher, and stunned Twitter.
In the segment, on Fox News show Outnumbered, the panel debated the political and media reaction to the shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday. That morning, a gunman walked into the packed Tree of Life synagogue and opened fire, killing 11 worshippers.
Some of the responses did not approve of Drudge calling them out. I captured them through screenshots because Drudge deletes his tweets daily:
Either way, Fox News is changing as well as the conservative movement which is more liberal than it was ten years ago. Anytime you attack someone for thinking differently; then you are just as bad as the person you are targeting. I am guilty of it because I stand more for conservatism than I do progressives. But learning how to tone back the rhetoric is a gift many do not have.
