Opinion: House Democrats Refuse To Provide Basic Due Process Rights In Latest Impeachment Maneuver
The President of the United States sets policy not some bureaucrat from the State Department or some general. The facts are in the transcripts and there is no impeachable crime.

The White House is barred from participating at all, until after Chairman Schiff conducts two rounds of one-sided hearings to generate a biased report for the Judiciary Committee.

Even then, the White House’s rights remain undefined, unclear, and uncertain — because the rules of the impeachment inquiry still haven’t been written.

Did anyone else catch what the Democrats are doing? The Republicans can issue subpoena only if approved by Democrats. Republicans can call witnesses only if approved by Democrats. The bottom line here is that Republicans will have the opportunity to request witnesses of their own, although they will have to provide “detailed written justification of the relevance of the testimony of each requested witness to the investigation.” Democrats on the committee will have the power to approve or block witnesses requested by Republicans — Kangaroo Court.

Pres. Trump’s lawyers can come to hearings but only in the judicial when everything is finished in the intelligence committee. Trump lawyers can issue subpoenas and have witnessed as long as Democrats approve them.

So some progressive, please tell me how this is due process.

The truth is that this so-called hearing is fraught with deception, evidence manipulation, no true cross-examination. You only get what Schiff wants. If Schiff doesn’t like a Republican question, Schiff doesn’t permit the witness to answer. Schiff leaks to the press what he sees as favorable to what Schiff wants. It is almost like a prosecutor deciding what evidence should be permitted, and how that evidence should be shaped.

If you are like me, then you are thinking if Rep. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats had something, they would have started impeachment proceedings by now. If they try to vote for a formal impeachment, they will not have the simple majority, thus Nancy is protecting 30 Democrats in Trump districts.

Like all of the investigations into Pres. Trump via the Democrats or because of their baseless allegations, this one proves to become an equal failure in the eyes of the American public.

Don’t misunderstand me. I wholeheartedly believe the Democrats in the House intend to impeach the president. According to the impeachment rules, they can do so because he came to work the first day on the job. Conviction in the Senate is where they have a problem, and fortunately for the American public, Dems don’t hold the majority there. Because if they did, Trump would be the first American president to be impeached because he beat his opponent.

The Senate will go through the process and fall well short of the two-thirds majority needed to remove Pres. Trump from office. Not one Democrat Senator will cross the party lines, and about four Republican Senators will. Yet the Dems and media won’t focus on the fact that not one Dem crossed the line, they will focus on the part that only four Republicans did.

The President of the United States sets policy not some bureaucrat from the State Department or some general. The facts are in the transcripts and there is no impeachable crime.

We can have our 2020 election, and I hope President Trump wins in a landslide.
