Harry Just Dissed and Disrespected His Father Prince Charles In Most Public Way Yet

Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday. Much to the surprise of many, his youngest son Prince Harry and his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle snubbed him by not wishing him a happy birthday publicly.

Other members of the British royal family did step up to wish Charles a happy birthday, including his mother, Queen Elizabeth. The 94 year-old monarch posted a touching throwback photo of herself holding Charles when he was a baby, along with the caption, “Wishing The Prince of Wales a very happy birthday today! Charles’ oldest son, Prince William, and his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton wished him a happy birthday on Instagram as well. They posted a photo of Charles smiling with the caption, “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales!”

Harry and Meghan shocked the world when they stepped down as senior royals earlier this year and moved across the world to Los Angeles, California. They have since bought a lavish mansion in the ritzy area of Montecito in the city of Santa Barbara.

This comes after royal biographer Robert Lacey has spoke out to say that he does not see Charles stepping aside for his son Prince William to take his place as king.

“There is such loyalty and respect for the Queen [that] when we look to the future and say, ‘Who could duplicate that in the future,’ could it be King Charles and Queen Camilla?” Lacey said, according to Daily Mail. “Or would it much better be William and Kate, who are already the focus of enormous popularity and are clearly stepping into the role of future sovereign?”

“I myself don’t think [Charles] would willingly step down from the destiny he has waited [for] for so long,” he added.

Rumors have been swirling over the past few months that the Queen will step down after turning 95 in April.

“I still firmly believe when the Queen becomes 95, that she will step down,” said royal expert Robert Jobson, according to Page Six.

Jack Royston, a royal reporter for Newsweek, agreed with him.

“I think she won’t want to,” he explained. “But realistically she will get to a point where she has handed over everything to Charles and then how do you look your son in the eye and tell him he is not going to be King?”
