While most of America’s millionaires and billionaires tend to be a bunch of out-of-touch coastal elites, there’s a small faction that is slowly shifting to the right.
Case in point, Elon Musk, who is really leading a movement that’s been spearheaded by the working-class people of this country and Dave Chappelle just made some interesting comments on the “woke” left who are attacking Musk’s recent appearance on SNL.
Chappelle is railing against the left, declaring that clearly “no one can be “woke enough” for them and denounced their tactics of constantly shaming people for just simply sharing their views.
Dave also added that Elon Musk is incredibly kind and really doesn’t deserve the backlash he’s facing for simply supporting the will of the people.
During an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast, Chappelle said that while he understands that people may wish to push a good cause, he denounced the woke tactics of shaming people.
“Like you said, no one can be woke enough,” Chappelle said. “I’m torn, because I like a warrior for a good cause, but I’m really into tactics. You’re not gonna nag people into behaving … In fact, if you continue with this tone, even if you’re right, you’ll be very hard to hear.”
Chappelle recalled once meeting Musk, hailing him as “incredibly kind.”
“I teased him about being the richest man on earth, and he took it with good humor,” Chappelle said. “What’s funny, I had hung out with him years ago, after I quit ‘Chappelle’s Show’ … we hung out on a tour bus, and he says to me that night … ‘I met you before.’ I’m like, ‘Well, I have no recollection.’ He looked kinda hurt.”
Chappelle was not the only celebrity to defend Musk’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in the face of some cast members allegedly getting upset to the point that the show’s executives allowed them to forgo appearing alongside him. In the days leading up to the appearance, none other than Michael Che and Pete Davidson defended his guest-hosting gig.
The left is now the party of the elites, so it’s clear why they’re attacking Musk for simply supporting an emerging source of wealth for common folks, but good on Chappelle for standing up for him.
We really need more like him in Hollywood.
Keep popping those red pills, Dave!
