[VIDEO] Deaf High School Football Team Goes Undefeated! Wins Divisional Championship!

For the first time in their history, the football team at the California School for the Deaf has beaten the odds by finishing undefeated. This season, the Varsity football team went 11-0 and won the Divisional Championship game for the first time in school history, as well as the conference championship game.

The athletes and coaches use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with one another during their games.

“To be quite honest, it’s an inspiration for the deaf community. We’ve never been this far into the playoffs before, and it’s a first for us “According to ABC News, coach Keith Adams “The community is ecstatic, morale has been raised, and the self-esteem of our gamers has increased significantly — you can see a significant change.”

The fact that the squad had never had a good season, according to wide receiver Jory Valencia, was the team’s source of motivation.

“We’re demonstrating to the rest of the world that we can play. We’re not going down without a fight anymore “he said.

Enos Zornoza, the team’s running back, said that their dedication and hard effort throughout each session had contributed to their success this season.

“We have the ability to accomplish anything. Deaf individuals are capable of anything. We are not the stereotypical people that are out there, “he said.

“We’re breaking the news that we’re capable of doing it correctly. Not only can our school do it, but so can other schools for the deaf around the country.”

This is a great story to share to show the power of unity and teamwork.
