Former Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has pledged to write a “explosive tell-all” book on his time with the team. The book is scheduled to be released in the fall.
On Monday, Griffin revealed that he is collaborating with veteran journalist Gary Myers on a book titled Surviving Washington, which would examine “the startling mismanagement and poisonous culture of the most dysfunctional professional football club in the United States.”
Among other things, Griffin claims that his book will expose the “medical mishandling” of a knee injury he had during his rookie season, as well as the sexual harassment that he claims “permeated” the squad. He went on to say that the book will take readers on a “deep dive” into a power struggle that existed between the team’s coach and the team’s owner, Dan Snyder.

During a Tuesday Twitter video introducing the book, Griffin said, “join me on this trip as I take you inside one of the most dysfunctional teams in all of sports.” “They say the truth will set you free, so here it is – straight from the horse’s mouth!”
Griffin has been a free agent since being released by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year, according to the league. He is now employed as a football commentator for ESPN.
