FL Man CHARGED With Threatening To Decapitate Members Of Congress!

Last week, Paul Vernon Hoeffer, 60, was taken before a federal court in West Palm Beach on allegations that he contacted and threatened to hurt two members of Congress, Democrat Nancy Pelosi and her colleague Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as a district attorney, during a congressional hearing.

Hoeffer is charged with three counts of interstate transmission of threats to hurt, according to the indictment. Prosecutors testified in court that Hoeffer contacted a representative in Washington, DC, in March 2019, and threatened to bring a “long, long road” to rattle her skull with bullets and chop off her head unless she resigned.

It is said that on the same day, Hoeffer contacted a district attorney in the state of Illinois and informed her that her bullets were going to “rattle her head,” and that she should prepare for them. In November 2020, Hoeffer made another phone call, this time to a lawmaker in New York.

According to charges filed by prosecutors, Hoeffer threatened her, saying he would “tear her head off” and telling her to sleep with one eye open.

If Hoeffer is convicted, he may face a total of 15 years in jail if found guilty. At the hearing, Hoeffer entered a not guilty plea. His trial is scheduled to begin on January 18, 2022, and will last for a total of two weeks. During the January 11, 2022 calendar call for U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon, it will be decided whether or not to set additional trial dates.

The statement was issued by Juan Antonio Gonzalez, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, and George L. Piro, Special Agent in Charge, FBI Miami, who were both present. The FBI Miami is conducting an investigation into this matter. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Luisa Honora Berti.

An indictment is an indictment that contains claims, and it is a formal document. Unless and until a person is found guilty in a court of law, he or she is assumed innocent.
