Conservative Commentator Ann Coulter Declares: Trump Is Done, Move On

Ann Coulter, a conservative commentator, predicts the end of Donald Trump’s reign in the Republican Party, declaring that the former president “is done.”

“Trump is finished,” Coulter, a former Trump supporter who has now become a Trump critic, said in an article to The New York Times. “You shouldn’t be worrying about him,” says the narrator.

Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) have been at odds for some time, and there has been speculation about a possible showdown for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. Coulter’s comments appeared in an article published in the New York Times on Sunday about the growing tensions between Trump and DeSantis.

While DeSantis has attempted to put a stop to speculation that he is considering a run for the White House, his ascent within the Republican Party and his national prominence have irritated President Donald Trump, who believes that the Florida governor owes his political success to Trump.

Trump has privately expressed dissatisfaction with DeSantis’s unwillingness to openly commit to renouncing a presidential run in 2024 if the former president decides to run for president again in 2020.

Trump, on the other hand, has started to publicly hone his criticism of DeSantis. In an interview with a South Florida radio host last month, Trump seemed to issue a challenge to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, claiming that if he wanted to run for president in 2024, he would defeat DeSantis in a primary.

“It’s OK with me if he wants to run,” Trump remarked of Kavanaugh. “I believe we’d come out on top by a wide margin.”

While speaking with the conservative One America News Network recently, Trump seemed to take a dig at DeSantis, saying that politicians who refuse to admit whether or not they had a COVID-19 booster injection are “gutless.” DeSantis has skirted inquiries regarding his booster status on many occasions.

The former president was branded a “liar and con man” by Coulter in a tweet sent out last week in response to his remarks on women.

“EXCLUSIVE: Trump has demanded to know if Ron DeSantis is a Trump supporter, and I can now share that information,” Coulter tweeted. “He was a staunch supporter of Trump throughout his presidential campaign in 2016, but he soon discovered that our president was a liar and con artist whose ruse was permanent. “I hope that has answered your question.”
