Laura Ingraham Not Ready To Support Donald Trump If He Chooses To Run In 2024

Laura Ingraham, a Fox News anchor, was asked if she would support President Donald Trump if he seeks for reelection in 2024, by the Northern Virginia Magazine. Her response was telling in many ways.

Ingraham said, “I’m not saying I’m there for him yet.” “However, I believe that whether he runs or not—I mean, his policies were effective. Trump’s policy vision — a forward-looking, positive set of pro-America measures — is unquestionably winning.”

Many Trump supporters would tell you immediately if they would support another presidential run for the former Commander-in-chief so this response is disturbing in a way.

The former president has not revealed his future political ambitions, but he has been backing candidates for Congress over the past year and hinting at another bid for the White House for many months.

According to public polls, the great majority of Republicans would support Trump, and many of them would want to see him run for president once again.

Following disclosures from the congressional committee probing the assault on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, Ingraham’s connection with Trump, as well as the relationships of numerous of her Fox News colleagues, has come under heightened scrutiny in recent weeks.

On the day of the uprising, Ingraham was one of many high-profile Fox personalities who were apparently messaging with then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, appealing with him to urge Trump to do anything to stop his fans from assaulting Congress.

“Tell folks at the Capitol to go home,” Ingraham allegedly texted Meadows that day, stating, “This is damaging all of us.” “He’s killing his own reputation.”

Ingraham decried the violence that erupted at the Capitol on her primetime program after her text conversations to Meadows were made public by the committee. However, she did not explicitly accuse Trump for encouraging the crowd. Trump was impeached by Democrats for instigating an uprising against the government. The Senate did not find him guilty of the charges against him.

“I said publicly and personally what I believe to be true: that the breach at the Capitol on January 6 was a dreadful event. “There have been crimes committed,” Ingraham claimed on her radio broadcast last month. “Some individuals were unduly harassed and tormented, but there was no rebellion,” the author writes. To argue anything otherwise would be dishonest and would be ignoring the reality of that particular day.”

Since then, Trump, who became increasingly dissatisfied with Fox and its leadership during his final months in office, has turned to smaller conservative cable channels like One America News and Newsmax, which have broadcast his claims of voter fraud and given credence to his claim that the election was “rigged.”

Trump reiterated misleading statements about the election’s outcome during a rally in Arizona over the weekend, which Fox did not broadcast live.

“A lot of conservatives were feeling, you know, absolutely devastated a year ago,” Ingraham told the magazine after Trump was defeated in the 2020 election. “I kept telling myself, ‘I’ve been doing this for 30 years in one form or another.’ There will always be another election, so don’t let the results of one election get you down.”
