Betty White was a beloved actress.

Many, many people loved and adored her and were heartsick when she passed away recently. She was almost 100-years-old.

Betty lived a full life and had countless fans all over the world.

However, two people who worked closely with her did not think Betty White was so keen.

As a matter of fact, they disliked her so much that they called her the dreaded “C-word.”

It wasn’t a secret that “Golden Girls” star Beau Arthur was not a big fan of Betty White. The two women sparred back and forth often.

Many believed it was “jealousy” on Bea Arthur’s part because Betty got the “best actress” Emmy for her work on the show.

But, a new report from TMZ has a different spin on the rivalry, and also adds Rue McClanahan into the mix as another Betty White critic, who also used the “C-word” to describe her.

TMZ reported that Joel Thurm, the casting director for the hit show, opened up on “The Originals” podcast and revealed this … “Literally Bea Arthur, who I cast in something else later on, just said, ‘Oh, she’s a f***ing c***,” adding, “I heard it with my own ears.”

He went on to say another castmate, Rue McClanahan also referred to Betty using the c-word.

As for why there was such tension on the set, Thurm gave a few examples. He says Estelle Getty began losing her memory and needed help remembering her lines … “And she would write the lines on her hand.”

Thurm says, “Betty White would make fun of her in front of the live audience … That may seem like a minor transgression, but it really does get to you … I have no idea how Estelle Getty felt, but I know the other 2 did not like [Betty] at all.”

Wow.

That’s a shocker, isn’t it?

You’d never think that Betty White was the type to mock someone who was elderly and losing their memory, but apparently, she did it, and in public, too.

Sounds like there was a lot more to Betty than we realized – but isn’t that always the way with people?

But it makes me feel bad for what Estelle Getty must’ve gone through.

It’s hard getting older and to be the butt of a “joke” on top of it, wouldn’t help, especially if you’re struggling at work.
