REPORT: GOP Super PACs Outperform Slumping Counterparts Ahead of 2022 Midterm Elections

In the second half of last year, Republican-led Super PACs raised more money than their Democratic counterparts, giving them a financial advantage going into the 2018 midterm elections. The Democrats control both chambers of Congress, but Republicans are gearing up for a possible midterm coup in both chambers. According to Federal Election Commission records, the Republican-affiliated Senate Leadership Fund and Congressional Leadership Fund collected more than $90 million in the second half of 2021.
