What??

Yep, that’s what his former assistant is now revealing.

This new report might explain why John’s son Sean Lennon has more conservative views and fights so hard against cancel culture and “wokeness.”

John Lennon’s former assistant is claiming that the infamous musician was a “secret Republican.”

Lennon was known as a pioneer of the big “peace movement” during the 1960s and 1970s.

But according to his assistant, Lennon became more conservative in his later years.

He apparently had a fondness for Reagan, whom he had met in the 70s, and claimed that if he were American, he would vote for Reagan after he soured on Jimmy Carter.

Well, we definitely can’t blame Lennon on that one…

CBS News reported that Fred Seaman, Lennon’s assistant from 1979 until his death in 1980, made the revelations in the documentary “Beatles Stories.”

“John, basically, made it very clear that if he were an American he would vote for Reagan because he was really sour on Jimmy Carter,” Seaman reportedly told filmmaker Seth Swirsky.

“He’d met Reagan back, I think, in the ’70s at some sporting event… Reagan was the guy who had ordered the National Guard, I believe, to go after the young (peace) demonstrators in Berkeley, so I think that John maybe forgot about that… He did express support for Reagan, which shocked me,” he continued.

According to the Toronto Sun, Seaman added that Lennon was embarrassed by his earlier radicalism.

“I also saw John embark in some really brutal arguments with my uncle, who’s an old-time communist… He enjoyed really provoking my uncle… Maybe he was being provocative… but it was pretty obvious to me he had moved away from his earlier radicalism,” Seaman reportedly said. “He was a very different person back in 1979 and ’80 than he’d been when he wrote ‘Imagine.’ By 1979 he looked back on that guy and was embarrassed by that guy’s naivete.”

It’s definitely very relatable that Lennon started becoming more conservative as he got older, as this happens to lots of individuals.

As they say, wisdom comes with age.

And I’d also guess that his views influenced his son Sean, who definitely has a “red-pill” vibe.
