College Basketball Coach Takes Swing At Opposition’s Assistant Coach During National TV Loss
National TV College Basketball game ends in a fight

Juwan Howard was dissatisfied with Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard’s decision to call a timeout with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game. And when he arrived late for the handshake line at the conclusion of the game, Howard informed Gard of his presence. Gard made it plain that he had something to say to Michigan’s head basketball coach, and the two became angry and had to be removed.

When Howard did not throw an open-handed punch or grab a Wisconsin assistant, the two teams went after each other, with multiple Michigan players, including Terrance Williams II and Moussa Diabate, launching punch after punch after punch.

There will very certainly be several bans for players as well as head coach Juwan Howard as a result of the ugly situation that occurred in Madison.

As members of both teams intervened in front of the Michigan bench, Howard received a slap on the back of the head and made contact with the head of University of Wisconsin assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft.

In the aftermath of the game, Michigan players were spotted punching each other.

This loss dropped Michigan to 8-7 in the Big Ten, while Wisconsin stayed tied for first with a 12-4 mark. Michigan had been considered one of the preseason favorites to win the Big Ten.

Regardless matter whether or not there is a perceived lack of sportsmanship, you cannot respond in kind — and this was an escalation of the situation. Yes, you should defend your team, but this was not the appropriate manner to do it.
