According to a New Poll, Selecting a Black Woman to the Supreme Court Is Not Important.

A new poll by Yahoo News and YouGov finds that most Americans are ambivalent about President Biden’s promise to nominate a Black woman to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer by the end of February — despite the fact that the top three Black women on Biden’s shortlist are considered “qualified” to serve on the court. Biden is expected to announce his nominee by the end of February. It was discovered that a large majority of those interviewed (55 percent) believe that selecting a Black woman is either “not very” (19 percent) or “not at all” (36 percent) important…
