President Trump doesn’t want Mitch McConnell anywhere near the Senate “leadership” when the GOP likely takes it back in November.
And I don’t blame him.
McConnell isn’t a “traitor,” he’s just a straight-up/old school DC swamp creature and nothing on earth will ever change that.
He has sided with Dems over MAGA countless times and he will continue to do that if he’s back in a leadership position.
Mitch is a globalist first and foremost and “America First” is a direct threat to everything he believes is and has been fighting for his entire career.
So, now President Trump is making a big move to take him out.
Breitbart reported that Donald Trump has reportedly urged Florida Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) to challenge Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for Senate leader after the November midterms.
“You should run for Senate majority leader,” Trump pitched Scott at Mar-a-Lago this week, according to Politico Playbook. Scott reportedly did not oppose Trump’s idea, perhaps putting in motion designs to replace establishment McConnell with conservative Scott.
President Trump has made no secret of his distaste for “Old Crow” McConnell.
Trump has also ripped McConnell for being “the most overrated man in politics,” following McConnell’s yes vote on Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill in August 2021.
In fact, McConnell is poised to lose his position as the minority leader if he does not repair his relationship with President Trump. McConnell’s attacks against Trump for the events that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, as well as his insistence that Joe Biden legitimately won the presidential election in 2020, has not won him the hearts of conservative voters, either.
Additionally, the Breitbart News report revealed that Sen. Scott reportedly did not push back on Trump’s idea to challenge McConnell, which could be a potential sign that he is considering the move as midterms draw closer. Scott currently chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).
We need to get rid of McConnell, and we also need to get rid of McCarthy, too.
They are both cut from the same cloth and will continue to let us down over and over.
We need new “America First” blood in these key roles if we hope to advance our agenda.
Weak “establishment” types will not only hinder us, but they will also sabotage us.
