The Uvalde local police are under a great deal of public scrutiny right now.
Local law enforcement officials have come out and said they made a mistake in refusing to engage the shooter and allowing him to hold up in the classroom for 80 minutes.
One official was actually crying when he said this:
TX DPS Director just broke down crying after admitting that the decision not to enter the classroom was a mistake.

That does nothing to bring back those innocent 4th graders, who were slaughtered in their classroom while 19 cops stood outside.
So, what happened? Why did local police drop the ball in such a grave manner?
We can’t blame it on their training.
They just went through “mass shooter” training 2 months ago, and everything they did during the actual school shooting was the complete opposite of what their training taught them.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, we’ve heard some unsubstantiated stories that claimed police “encountered” the shooter outside, but did not engage him.
Well, if accurate, this newly uncovered video clip appears to back up those stories…
The clip is short. If you blink, you’ll miss it. At the start of the clip, by a tree, you’ll see what appears to be two cops looking toward the school, as the shooter enters through the opened back door.
You can watch the video below:
There are many questions about this video.
Why are the police there?
How did they know the shooter would walk into the backdoor and why didn’t they stop him?
Here’s what people are saying online:
“Absolute disgrace. Arm yourselves and protect your family, don’t depend on police”
“This is intolerable.”
“And then there is this. WTF is going on? Why is there so much weirdness around this?”
“Something doesn’t smell right”
“It’s truly astounding that those armed police officers just watched as the gunman arrived at the school and let him enter. What on Earth are these people for then?”
“apparently they were on location before Ramos arrived? How does that fit into the timeline?”
“my question… who recorded that video and why were they there before Ramos entered the building?”
“I would like to know why the teacher propped the door open.”
“Apparently the teacher left the door propped open to get something out of her car but then when she came back she kept the door propped?? I dunno. It doesn’t make sense.”
Well, it looks like I may have just found the reason these police officers were “on-site” before the actual shooting began.
According to reports, the police had engaged the gunman when he arrived at the school… and it was because his grandmother, who he shot in the face, called them to report the crime.
“District police officers engaged the gunman when he arrived at the school, but the shooter was able to enter a back door, travel down two short hallways and enter a classroom, which was connected internally to another classroom…” https://t.co/Ri6ecyitOb

CBS News reported that authorities said the gunman shot his 66-year-old grandmother in the face before the school shooting.
She contacted police and the suspect fled, later crashing his grandmother’s car about a block from the school.
He then exited the car and took a backpack and one rifle with him.
A district police officer engaged the gunman when he arrived at the school, but the shooter was able to enter a back door, travel down two short hallways and enter a classroom, which was connected internally to another classroom.
So, this that’s why police were on the scene.
I also found this on Daily Mail:
Still, none of it explains why the shooter could simply waltz into the school, with what appears to be two cops standing there, looking on.
