GOP Senator: “Do You Know How Happy People Are To Have More IRS Agents Out There?

Democrat-proposed Inflation Reduction Action, according to Sen. Rick Scott, R-Florida, will backfire and end up benefiting Republicans, he said on Sunday. Scott, the director of the Republican Senate Campaign Committee, ripped on the legislation that is due for a vote and seems to have the support of all Democrats in the chamber during an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation.”

He insisted that the law will benefit Republicans rather than Democrats. He recalled, “Raising taxes by $700 billion, slashing Medicare by $280 billion, increasing gas taxes, and hiring more IRS officers.” “Are you aware of how grateful people are for the presence of extra IRS agents? There won’t be much support for this across the nation.

The last thing the government should do right now, in Scott’s opinion, is raise taxes.

He declared, “We shouldn’t ever raise taxes, but particularly during a recession.” And why would we increase gas taxes now, when they are already $2 higher than they were when [President] Joe Biden took office? We’re going to enter a deeper recession than we did as a result of this.

Look at where we are at this moment, he said. “Labor participation rates are declining, salaries are not keeping up with inflation, and [Gross Domestic Product] has been negative for two quarters. We are being pushed into a recession by Joe Biden and their policies. We ought to cease raising taxes, in my opinion. We must facilitate corporate development and competition so that we can create more jobs.

Despite stating that the midterm elections will be difficult, Scott projected that the GOP will win across the board.

He said, “I think we’re going to win, but it’s going to be tough. “We need to raise money, and both we and our candidates need to work incredibly hard. Everyone must support our candidates.

He said, “I’m optimistic,” despite this.

He declared, “All the awful things that have transpired are going to be the focus of this election.” “The recession we’re entering, the 9 percent inflation rate, the $2 increase in petrol prices. The things that are being examined are all of them.
