Joe Biden Can Blame OPEC All Day Long, They Aren’t On The Ballot In November

OPEC opted to reduce oil output by 2 million barrels per day, a decision Biden called “shortsighted,” and it served as yet another example of how President Joe Biden let America down and left the nation unprepared on the international arena. Also, he described it as “a letdown.” But what Biden truly means is that he and the Democrats are in serious peril with the midterm elections coming up soon.

Gasoline costs $3.92 a gallon right now, up more than $1.50 from when Biden first entered office. Additionally, a recent Rasmussen survey found that 86% of potential voters are worried about the high cost of petrol. The move by OPEC is anticipated to increase prices even further.

The confused, illogical, and politically driven reaction from Biden is the release of an additional 10 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. (For perspective, when Biden started office, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve contained 638 million barrels; today, it has 416 million.) In order for Venezuela to produce more oil, Biden is also planning to loosen sanctions, although doing so will just strengthen the ruthless tyrant Nicolas Maduro and increase pollution in the nation.

Two unsettling truths for House Democrats are concealed by Biden’s actions. One: It’s simple: America needs gas and oil to get to work, power their houses, and maintain the nation. Second, the Democrats in Congress have sought to undercut what Biden won’t do (such as restarting the Keystone XL pipeline, rolling back onerous rules on American energy providers, and retreating from the decision to ban fossil fuels in the country).

For instance, in August 2021, Democrats specifically rejected a Republican offer to overturn Biden’s moratorium on oil and gas leasing on federal lands in order to reduce gasoline costs and reduce the United States’ reliance on OPEC nations for energy security. And only a few months ago, when the Senate Democrats passed their Bidenflation hoax bill, all 50 of them voted against raising domestic energy output in the United States. Additionally, they voted against a Republican-led amendment that would have repealed the bill’s new crude oil tax, which is a new expense for drivers and for those with incomes under $400,000.

Therefore, Biden’s radical environmentalist agenda, which places America at the mercy of other countries, is inextricably linked to Democrats. Even though they are aware that energy security is a matter of national security, they assisted in placing the U.S. in a situation where Biden could implore OPEC and Saudi Arabia to increase oil production. They don’t, though. Additionally, they trusted the wrong person to grovel on their behalf when OPEC and Saudi Arabia rejected Biden’s pleas. Even worse, Democrats have abandoned their supporters by increasing their financial hardship in the service of their radical agenda. The Democrats’ “transition” strategy has always been intended to take advantage of high gas prices.

It will be paid for in November. America is left asking foreign nations for what we might generate right here at home as a result of blackouts and excessive energy bills. The OPEC nightmare for Biden was totally foreseeable. This tragedy, which has destroyed American energy independence, is entirely the fault of Democrats. Voters who choose Republicans will be doing so in favor of strong America-first policies, common sense, and employment.
