Remember when Liz Cheney vowed she would stop Kari Lake from becoming the next governor of Arizona? This old, unimportant, relic of a bygone political era actually thinks she has the “power” to stop a new, fresh, and empowered political movement. It’s actually sad. ABC News reported back in September that outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., reiterated this weekend that she would campaign against election deniers, singling out Republican gubernatorial nominees in Arizona and Pennsylvania who’ve floated conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential race.
Cheney, who lost her primary last month to a challenger endorsed by former President Donald Trump, said at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Saturday that she would seek to prevent Arizona Republican Kari Lake and Pennsylvania Republican Doug Mastriano from being elected to their states’ governors’ mansions.
“I’m going to do everything I can to make sure Kari Lake is not elected,” Cheney said at the closing night of the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin.
“I think we have to do everything we can in ’22 to make sure those people don’t get elected,” she added. Turning to the governor’s race in Pennsylvania, she said, “We have to make sure [Doug] Mastriano doesn’t win.”
She also criticized Republican leaders like Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for, in her words, accommodating election deniers even as she praised Youngkin because he “hasn’t bought into the toxin of Donald Trump.”
When asked if her efforts to stop Lake, Mastriano, and others could include campaigning for Democrats, Cheney simply replied, “Yes.”
Well, our girl Kari just humiliated Liz Cheney once again, by taking an astounding 11-point lead over her opponent, Hobbs.

Katie Hobbs (D) 43%

And this is a LOCAL AZ poll, not some random outlier.
So, what exactly is Liz Cheney doing to stop Kari Lake? It sounds to me like she’s helping her.
I am not sure why news shows still have Liz Cheney on; she doesn’t matter. She lost her race by 40 humiliating points. But nevertheless, here’s useless Chuck Todd giving this tired old windbag a platform:
Actually, Kari Lake was convinced that Liz Cheney’s remarks about “stopping her” were the best gift she’s ever gotten, and I think she was right. The Hill reported that Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake on Sunday said her campaign welcomed Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) promising to do everything she could to ensure Lake does not win in November.
Lake told Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo that “the people of Wyoming can’t stand” Cheney and she was sure “the people of Arizona don’t like Liz Cheney” either.
“That might be the biggest, best gift I have ever received,” Lake said of Cheney’s comments. “The Republican Party, the new Republican Party, is the party of we, the people. It is no longer the party of warmongers.”
“Liz Cheney probably should change her voter registration. Turns out she really is a Democrat after all,” the GOP candidate added.
Cheney, who recently lost her primary battle against a Trump-endorsed challenger, said Saturday she would do everything in her power to ensure Lake does not beat Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs.
Also, Doug Mastriano is closing the gap, and President Trump is heading to PA to close the deal for his PA candidates.

And at the same time, Joe and Kamala will be teamed up and went to PA to stump for senate candidate John Fetterman. Ha ha ha. That’s right folks, the two most unliked politicians on the face of the earth came together to try to drag a very confused, and unwell Fetterman over the finish line.
Good luck with that task, I don’t see it happening.
But personally, I think they’re planning to cheat in PA, so we need to be mindful of that.
