Report: Federal Officials Believe They Have Enough Proof To Prosecute Hunter Biden

According to a recent report, the federal officials looking into Hunter Biden think they have found enough proof to accuse the son of the president of the United States of crimes involving tax fraud and lying when he bought a weapon.

According to the Washington Post, the FBI officers in charge of the criminal investigation came to the conclusion that Hunter Biden should face federal charges months ago, but the U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the Delaware prosecutor in charge of the case, will ultimately determine whether or not to do so.

According to the source, the federal investigation into Hunter Biden initially focused on his consulting work and overseas business dealings in countries like China and Ukraine, but that “over time, investigators with multiple agencies focused closely on whether he did not report all of his income, and whether he lied on gun purchase paperwork in 2018,” according to the people familiar with the situation.

Joe Biden requested the resignations of all of the Trump-appointed U.S. attorneys who had been confirmed by the Senate in February 2021, with the exception of Weiss. Although John Durham was requested to resign as the U.S. attorney for the state of Connecticut, he was retained as special counsel.

Soon after the 2020 election, Hunter Biden disclosed that the federal government was looking into his tax filings. He added, “I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

He was apparently also being investigated for probable money laundering and possibly Foreign Agents Registration Act breaches involving foreign lobbying.

While his father was vice president, Hunter Biden was paid to sit on the board of directors of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma. During and after his father’s presidency, he sought commercial transactions there as well as overseas. Due to these affiliations, Hunter Biden earned millions. Documents reveal that Hunter was concerned about the Foreign Agents Registration Act and thought some of his Chinese business contacts were affiliated with Chinese intelligence agents.

Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) have demanded that the Justice Department and FBI launch a thorough investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop, taking into account the information discovered by the Washington Examiner that Joe Biden may have unknowingly paid for his son’s involvement in a Russian escort ring.

Chris Clark, Hunter Biden’s attorney, told the Washington Post that in reaction to the publication’s report, he asked the Justice Department to launch a leak probe. The disclosure of material concerning a Grand Jury inquiry, such as this one, by a federal agent is a federal criminal, according to Clark. “Any agent who you use in your paper as a source has allegedly committed a similar crime. We anticipate that the Department of Justice will rigorously look into and pursue such criminals.” According to Clark, he has “had no interaction at all” with any federal investigators.

Therefore, a representation of the situation from such a “agent” is necessarily prejudiced, one-sided, and erroneous, according to Clark. “It is sad that law enforcement officials seem to be breaking the law to slant evidence against someone who is being targeted just for his family name,”

Hunter Biden allegedly responded, according to copies of his firearms transaction record dated October 12, 2018 “”No” was the response to the query “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” on the transaction record. A potential felony is lying on the guns form. Although convictions for falsifying information on a form are uncommon, they do occur, according to the Government Accountability Office.

Hunter Biden’s history of drug misuse has been openly documented by him and his family, and his memoir, Beautiful Things, talked about his use of illicit drugs before to, during, and after that time period. Significant proof of his usage of illicit drugs, including crack cocaine, is found on his laptop’s hard drive. Five years after being dismissed from the Navy Reserve due to a cocaine test result, the president’s son bought a rifle.

In October 2018, Hunter Biden’s sister-in-law Hallie Biden, with whom he was having a sexual involvement, dumped his.38 calibre revolver outside a Delaware high school. Police arrived, and he yelled at Hallie Biden, the brother Beau’s wife, accusing her of wrecking his life.

Hunter Biden’s business relationship with former CEFC chairman Ye Jianming and his senior subordinate Patrick Ho was likely also closely examined by investigators during the period when the Chinese corporation actively sought out commercial prospects in the United States and elsewhere. After Ye was implicated in a corruption case in 2018 that caused CEFC to file for bankruptcy, Ye has since vanished from China, according to official media there.

For breaking the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Ho was given a three-year jail term in March 2019. Some of the evidence used in the prosecution against Ho was gathered via the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Ho called Hunter’s uncle and Joe Biden’s brother, James Biden, right after following his 2017 arrest. According to James, he believed Ho’s call was for Hunter. Following his imprisonment, Hunter and Ho agreed to a $1 million legal retainer.

In a 47-minute audio recording from May 11, 2018, discovered on a replica of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, Ho was referred to as the “f***ing espionage head of China” by Hunter Biden.

Numerous Senate Republicans have demanded that Weiss have special counsel privileges, while numerous House Republicans have urged Attorney General Merrick Garland to choose a special counsel to conduct the probe. During a Senate hearing in April, Garland referred to Weiss as “supervising the probe.” No inappropriate or politically motivated intervention will be made.” When questioned about the necessity for a special counsel, Garland replied, “I’m pretty comfortable with the United States attorney for that district continuing in the position that he is performing.
