According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah have revealed that Iranian security officials played a role in planning the recent terrorist attacks. These attacks resulted in the tragic loss of at least 700 Israeli lives on Saturday. As of now, U.S. government officials have stated that they have not come across any evidence that supports the occurrence of the meeting.

Since late August, there have been reports indicating that officers from Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been collaborating with Hamas. Their objective is to strategize and plan various types of incursions into Israeli territory, including those by land, sea, and air. The operation's specifics were discussed in multiple meetings held in Beirut, where high-ranking members of the IRGC, along with four representatives from Hamas and Hezbollah, convened. Hamas is a militant group that governs parts of the Gaza Strip, while Hezbollah is a Shia militia with substantial military and political influence in Lebanon.

At present, U.S. officials have indicated that they do not possess any direct evidence that points to Iran's involvement. In a recent interview with CNN, Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State for the United States, addressed the topic of the attacks.

According to a U.S. official who spoke to the Wall Street Journal, there is currently no available information to support or confirm the reported meetings in Beirut.

According to a statement made by Mahmoud Mirdawi, a senior Hamas official, the responsibility for the attacks was solely assumed by the group itself. The statement made by the individual emphasizes that the decision in question is one that has been collectively made by the Palestinian people and the Hamas organization. Both a European official and an adviser to the Syrian government have corroborated the accounts given by the representatives of Hamas and Hezbollah.

The Iranian government representative at the United Nations in New York chose not to provide any comments on the matter. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, has expressed support for the recent attacks and made a statement regarding the future of the Zionist regime. According to Khamenei, he believes that the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces in the region will ultimately bring about the eradication of the Zionist regime.

According to Israel, the responsibility for the attacks can be attributed to Iran, albeit indirectly. It is evident that meetings took place in Syria and Lebanon involving leaders of various terrorist groups that are in close proximity to Israel. It is reasonable to assume that these meetings were aimed at coordinating their activities. According to a statement made by Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, the proxies of Iran in our region have made efforts to align themselves with Iran's objectives.

The death toll resulting from the series of attacks that have occurred in Southern Israel has now exceeded 700 individuals. This number is anticipated to increase as Israeli military and law enforcement units persist in their efforts to eliminate militants and thoroughly search the areas that were targeted. A significant number of bodies, specifically 260, were discovered on the premises of a music festival that took place in close proximity to the border. These individuals tragically lost their lives as a result of a brutal attack carried out by militants, who showed no regard for the lives of the concert attendees.
