On Wednesday, the administration of US President Joe Biden made an announcement regarding the development of a strategy to address the issue of Islamophobia. This announcement comes at a time when tensions are running high across the nation due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas militants.

President Biden's motivation for running for office was to restore the soul of our nation. In no uncertain terms, he expresses his stance: there is absolutely no room for hatred towards any individual in the United States of America. In a statement, Karine Jean-Pierre, a spokeswoman for the White House, emphasized the significance of the period.

Muslims in America, along with individuals who are mistakenly identified as Muslim, such as Arabs and Sikhs, have faced an excessive number of hate-driven assaults and discriminatory occurrences for an extended period of time.

According to the White House, the strategy will be formulated in collaboration with the communities involved.

Jean-Pierre highlighted a specific incident that she referred to as a recent "barbaric" killing. This incident involved a six-year-old Palestinian American boy who was tragically killed outside Chicago. The local police have connected this incident to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The United States government has implemented a comprehensive strategy to address and combat instances of anti-Semitism throughout the nation.

The commitment to safeguard the Muslim community is not a recent development, but the announcement made on Wednesday seemed to signify a renewed sense of urgency, especially given the current tense circumstances.

Muslim Americans are experiencing fear and concern following the initiation of a war triggered by a violent Hamas attack on Israel. This apprehension stems from the worry of facing a surge in hostility akin to the one witnessed in the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

The actions taken by President Biden in response to the war, including his visit to Israel to express solidarity with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have generated criticism from Muslim and Arab Americans.

The 80-year-old Democrat has faced allegations of disregarding the plight of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip. However, the US leader has defended his actions by highlighting his endeavors to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged region.

According to a survey conducted by the Arab American Institute, there has been a significant decline in support for President Biden among Arab American voters. The survey revealed that the percentage of Arab American voters who previously supported Biden during the 2020 election has decreased from 59 percent to 17 percent. This decline in support is noteworthy as President Biden is set to face reelection next year.
