An outspoken opponent of former President Trump is supporting Nikki Haley's decision to continue her campaign in the GOP primary until Super Tuesday. Liz Cheney expressed her determination to oppose Trump at every turn during her appearance on "Pod Save America," as reported by the New York Times, which obtained a transcript of the episode. According to Cheney, his candidacy is seen as a significant threat to the country and it is crucial that we actively oppose him. "Currently, Nikki Haley is actively engaged in this battle, and I believe it would be beneficial for her to continue her involvement."

Questioning the notion of Trump being a guaranteed choice for the Republican nomination, Cheney expressed her disapproval of Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee. Cheney took issue with McDaniel's recent remarks on Fox News, where she encouraged Republicans to rally behind the eventual nominee, who she believes will be Donald Trump.

"It is highly inappropriate for the chairperson of the RNC to assert that the primary is over when it is not," Cheney expressed disapproval. She expressed her disapproval of Trump supporters for disregarding what she considers to be "responsible" and "honorable."

She specifically criticized Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for allegedly withdrawing support from a bipartisan immigration deal, allowing Trump to prioritize immigration as a campaign issue, according to Mediaite. "History will evaluate them, in my perspective, as severely as it will assess Trump because he cannot accomplish his actions without their support," Cheney stated, according to the Times. She mentioned that she is still contemplating whether or not to participate in the presidential race as a candidate from a third party. "Defeating [Trump] is my top priority, and I believe that will heavily influence my decision-making process," she shared with host Jon Favreau.
