In a 92-page decision, Judge Arthur Engoron mandated that the former president pay a penalty of over $355 million, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump pay $4 million each, and former Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg pay $1 million. Along with a two-year ban on his sons' employment, the injunction prohibited Trump from holding any position as a corporate officer or director of a corporation located in New York for three years. By refusing to remove the Trump Organization's license to do business in New York, Engoron helped the Trumps evade the infamous "corporate death sentence."
Following the ruling, the former president vented his ire about the "Crooked" judge and his "Complete and Total SHAM" ruling on his Truth Social account. His initial post had been about what he claimed were AI-generated images that made him appear unflatteringly heavier.
Beginning at around 4:30 p.m. ET, Trump posted a number of messages:
It goes without saying that those posts include a number of factual errors and false statements about the case's legal proceedings, but as Engoron himself pointed out in his decision, the Trumps' "refusal to admit error," which the judge deemed to be so egregious that it "borders on pathological," was a significant contributing factor to the significant financial penalty.

This “decision” is a Complete and Total SHAM. There were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints. Only satisfied Banks and Insurance Companies (which made a ton of money), GREAT Financial Statements, that didn’t even include the most valuable Asset – The TRUMP Brand, IRONCLAD Disclaimers (Buyer Beware, and Do your Own Due Diligence), and amazing Properties all over the World. All the other side had was a ridiculous $18 million valuation of magnificent Mar-a-Lago, an unConstitutional Gag Order, a Consumer Fraud Statute never before used for this purpose, No Jury allowed, and a refusal to send this disgusting charade to the Commercial Division, where it would have been put to a deserving end…
This “case” is OVER ever since the Appellate Division ended it on Statute of Limitations, also letting my daughter Ivanka out of this Witch Hunt. The Democrat Club-controlled Judge Engoron has already been reversed four times on this case, a shameful record, and he will be reversed again.
