The Washington Post's Wednesday report on FBI-Justice Department tensions over the August raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home is shocking. FBI officials urged caution, while DOJ prosecutors insisted on a surprise raid to find secret documents: Further evidence suggested Trump was willfully keeping secret records at his Palm Beach, Fla., residence, and prosecutors encouraged the FBI to perform a surprise raid. Two senior FBI officials who would conduct the search opposed it as too confrontational.
