With wins in every time slot from 7 to 11 p.m. last week and an increase in its own ratings from the week before, Fox News' new prime time lineup is off to a strong start. The new lineup outperformed the competition on MSNBC and CNN in terms of both total viewers and the crucial 25-54 age demographic following Tucker Carlson's firing in late April.

Jesse Watters Primetime with host Jesse Watters attracted 2.3 million viewers and 198,000 in the demo, easily beating CNN and MSNBC. Watters moved into Carlson's old 8 p.m. slot from 7 p.m.

Although the first week of Watters' ratings fell short of the total audience that Carlson attained during his seven years in prime time, they were higher than Fox News Tonight, the program that Carlson immediately replaced. As viewers expressed outrage over the firing, that program, which featured a rotating cast of Fox News hosts, struggled mightily in the ratings.

With host Laura Ingraham, The Ingraham Angle, which now airs at 7 p.m., outperformed CNN and MSNBC with 1.9 million total viewers and 163,000 in the demo.

At 9 p.m., Hannity with host Sean Hannity outperformed CNN's The Source with Kaitlan Collins in terms of ratings, more than quadrupling it. Following the revelation that former President Donald Trump was the subject of yet another federal investigation, Hannity's town hall with him last Tuesday saw a significant uptick in ratings, garnering 2.8 million viewers and becoming the network's highest-rated program of the week.

Greg Gutfield's show Gutfeld! garnered the highest ratings in the 25-54 demographic during prime time at 10 p.m., averaging 1.9 million average total viewers and a 46 percent increase in demo viewers.
