Tomi Lahren of Outkick acknowledged on Sunday that the House Republicans' attempt to remove President Joe Biden from office, which also involves looking into his son Hunter, "is falling flat" with the people as they watch the drama unfold on TV.

The conservative commentator Lahren made an appearance on Fox News' MediaBuzz with Howard Kurtz, along with former Obama staffer Philippe Reines.

Throughout the conversation, Lahren came to agree with Reines' analysis of the reasons why Republicans wanted to interview Hunter Biden in private.

The Republicans would rather that when we, the people, turn on the television, we watch the president's kid being beat up. It will not look nice, Reines said.

As someone who does think there is a lot of evidence here, Lahren said, "I gotta say, I think this has failed optically for Republicans." She went on:

They’ve done good work. Obviously, Jim Jordan, [James] Comer, have done great work on this, but optically it does make it seem as though they’re beating up on someone with addiction issues. That’s exactly how the media wanted it, that’s how they framed it, and, unfortunately, that’s what’s coming to fruition. So, I would encourage Republicans — I know you want to get to the bottom of this — but let’s focus on the election, let’s focus on the failed policies of Joe Biden. This impeachment inquiry, unfortunately, is falling flat with a lot of viewers and voters.

Reines said, "Tomi and I found common ground." "A poor use of optics."
