Seb Gorka, a former assistant to Donald Trump, and Newsmax host Eric Bolling criticized Tucker Carlson for text texts he sent criticizing Trump. On January 4, 2021, Carlson texted about how close the country was to being able to ignore Trump on most nights. I loathe him intensely, he continued. Two days later, the Fox News presenter referred to the then-president as "a demonic force" and "a destroyer" in another text message.

Conservatives have criticized Carlson for appearing to not truly believe what he says on broadcast despite the fact that he frequently expresses pro-Trump viewpoints on his show. In a way, Tucker Carlson has been caught with his trousers down, Bolling told Gorka on Friday's episode of The Balancing on Newsmax. How do you feel about Tucker's pandering? For Fox or Tucker, these text messages don't look good, Gorka retorted. Why would Tucker Carlson choose to disregard a Republican with a stellar four-year track record?

Bolling, a former Fox News personality, chimed in with, "I'll tell you why. 'Tucker was someone I knew. Tucker used to host Fox & Friends on the weekends, if you can recall. Of the three hosts, he was one. Trump was then someone he could not stand. Until he had a show called Tucker Carlson, he didn't really start jumping on the Trump bandwagon. The truth is that. Carlson was urged to exhibit tenacity by Gorka in response.

After saying, "Well, let's see if he can show some mettle and show a bit of spine," he turned the conversation to Carlson, who had shown security footage from the Capitol riot in January 2021 on his show on Monday and Tuesday. The violent attempt to rig the 2020 presidential election has been minimized by Carlson.

Gorka declared, "It's fairly obvious that Tuesday's broadcast was restricted. The chairman of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, allegedly gave Carlson the order to mute his program, he then speculated.

Tucker, reveal your true self to us," Gorka urged. "Forget for a moment about President Trump. Do you place America first? Have you got the nerve to show the remaining video? Tucker, give us proof of it. We are holding on. Bolling stated, "And Tucker told Glenn Beck that no journalist has approached him for a copy of the footage. "I texted him right away after that. Hey, I have a question, I said. I received a rude reply.

Dominion Voting Systems, which is suing Fox News for defamation for $1.6 billion after certain hosts and guests alleged the corporation manipulated the 2020 presidential election against Trump, made text texts from Carlson public in court documents. Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for defamation. According to Fox News, the First Amendment safeguards its reporting.
