Sen. Paul Staffer Brutally Attacked in Broad Daylight Over The Weekend

In Washington, DC, a staff member for Republican Senator Rand Paul was violently attacked in the open. Over the weekend, a member of Paul's staff suffered multiple stab wounds.

Sen. Rand Paul confirmed in a statement that a member of his staff was "brutally attacked in broad daylight" in Washington, DC, this past weekend, according to ABC reporter Allison Pecorin. Police reports that ABC News was able to obtain state that the employee suffered multiple knife wounds in the 1300 block of H Street NE.

"This past weekend, a member of my staff was savagely attacked in Washington, D.C., in broad daylight," Paul stated. I'm asking you to join Kelley and me in thanking the police, hospital staff, and first responders for their hard work and praying for a quick and complete recovery.

"We are glad to learn that the culprit has been taken into custody. We are requesting privacy at this time so that everyone can concentrate on their healing and rehabilitation.

The Metropolitan Police Department's First District detectives said that an arrest had been made in connection with a knife-related assault with the intent to kill that took place on March 25, 2023, in the 1300 block of H Street in the Northeast.

"Members of the First District were sent to the specified area for the complaint of a stabbing at around 5:17 o'clock. Upon arrival, members located an adult male stabbing victim. The victim's life-threatening injuries were taken care of at a nearby hospital. Following the detectives' investigation, Glynn Neal, 42, of Southeast, Washington, DC, was detained and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder (Knife) on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
