In response to news that a grand jury in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation into a 2016 payment to Stormy Daniels had voted to recommend charges against the former president, Donald Trump lashed out angrily on Thursday.

A source familiar with the situation has confirmed to Just the News that the grand jury decided in favor of charges, however the indictment remains sealed and the specific allegations are unknown.

"The Democrats have lied, cheated, and stolen in their obsession with trying to 'Get Trump,' but now they've done the unthinkable — indicted a perfectly innocent individual in an act of obvious Election Interference," he stated. Never before in the history of our country has anything like this occurred.

"The Democrats have cheated in elections before, including by eavesdropping on my campaign, but this is the first time they have used the judicial system to punish a political opponent; in this case, the President of the United States and the most popular Republican candidate for president. Ever, "Furthermore, he said.

Trump has called this inquiry, along with the many others he faces, a "political witch hunt," and he has done so frequently. He predicted that the case will "backfire enormously on Joe Biden" in a statement released on Thursday.

Alvin Bragg, the district attorney of New York City, was "hand-picked and supported by George Soros," he continued.

"People in our country are wise to the radical leftist Democrats' schemes. It's plain to see, "It was his adamant stance. As a result, "our Movement, and our Party — united and powerful — will defeat Alvin Bragg, and then we will defeat Joe Biden, and we will throw every last one of these Crooked Democrats out of office so that we can MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN!"
