During a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, well-known model Emily Ratajkowski opened out about the entertainment business' less than positive aspects. Ratajkowski discussed the power dynamics in the industry and disclosed how men had treated her during the conversation.
"This world is messed up. Hollywood is screwed, sort of. The Times said that it was also dark. Additionally, Ratajkowski spoke about the moment she learned her ex-husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, was surrounded by men who treated women like a commodity.
She remarked, "I hated that my husband had even the slightest connection to these men." Many of the same issues were covered by Ratajkowksi in her book "My Body," published in 2021.
According to the Los Angeles Times, she stated in the book, "I thought about the way that [Bear-McClard] had glided through the room, a room full of men who only two years earlier had been kissing Harvey Weinstein's ring and encouraging their young female clients to take meetings with him in hotel rooms."
Soon after, Ratajkowski learned about McClard's alleged treatment of other women and was reminded of Hollywood's exploitative side, which contains forces that permit men to regularly take advantage of women, according to what she told the Times. No matter what they look like, the world is fairly cruel to women, she remarked.
She continued by listing the countless "networking" dinners she had gone to as a young model and describing the chain of events that had occurred after what had at first appeared to be a normal supper.
Ratajkowski told the Times that it was "disgusting" since there were over 40 males arriving in dark automobiles. "What makes it so frightening is that there is no clear explanation of what is being swapped for what. They identify as party promoters, but are they actually sex traffickers or party promoters?
And perhaps for that reason, she added, "I'm not really interested in men's POVs right now. "Because they were fabrications. And I do not mean adultery.
After then, Ratajkowski talked about relationships and dating. She told the Times, "I don't think I can, but obviously it would be good to be with someone who's in the profession or knows it.
