The Republican National Committee said on Wednesday that Fox News will host the first GOP presidential primary debate in 2024 and will work with online video platform Rumble to broadcast the event from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in August. For the debate, Fox will also work with the Young America's Foundation.

RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement to Fox News, "I am excited to announce that our first debate in Milwaukee will be in partnership with Fox News, Young America's Foundation, and Rumble."

Fox News will be the only network to broadcast the debate, and Rumble will serve as the primary live-streaming provider. On the morning program "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, McDaniel announced that the occasion will be a "Fox News Republican Party Debate."

The RNC is thrilled to stream live on Rumble, she added, since "we are getting away from big tech, YouTube is owned by Google."

The platform's CEO, Chris Pavlovski, stated that "protecting free speech is not just a slogan, it runs through the DNA of our company."

The Young America's Foundation will assist in reaching out to young voters, many of whom get their news from social media sites like Instagram and TikTok.

It's about defeating [President] Joe Biden, McDaniel responded when asked whether GOP contenders would make a vow to support the eventual GOP nominee. It entails combating the current situation in this country.
