Ron DeSantis Claims He's Stopped Disney From Opposing His Policies Publicly

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis claimed in an interview that since he started fighting The Walt Disney Company last year, it has ceased openly opposing the programs he favours.

DeSantis singled out Disney after industry leaders protested his so-called "Don't Say Gay" ordinance, which he had already signed into law. The law prohibited sexual topics from being spoken in class from kindergarten through third grade, and it has subsequently been extended until twelfth grade.

Last year, the governor asked for and received the cancellation of Disney's unique self-governing status. He signed a law Friday authorizing the corporation's board of directors to revoke any development deals the business had previously authorized.

Disney filed a lawsuit against the state of Florida for what it claims to be a "targeted campaign of government retaliation."

The governor was questioned by Newsmax presenter John Bachman about his conflict with Mickey Mouse during the interview, which aired on Friday.

The first major problem with Disney was their extensive political influence in this community, according to DeSantis. They also made an effort to oppose us on issues like parental rights and other matters of great significance to Floridians. On that, we prevailed. In order to go back and combat awakened ideology, we signed a statute protecting parents' rights, increased protections, and took many other actions.

Then DeSantis boasted that since he sued Disney, the firm had been mute on political issues.

He said, "Disney has not been engaged in any of those matters since our disagreement last year. "They haven't spoken a word. The main issue is that Disney cannot manipulate the system to the disadvantage of Floridians, since that is ultimately what matters most.

DeSantis boasted about criticizing Disney in his book, which was released this year, according to Washington Post writer Greg Sargent's argument on Tuesday.

DeSantis boasts in his book about quickly mobilizing the state legislature to take aim at Disney's tax district, according to Sargent. The same sentence claims that this occurred as a result of the business's'support of indoctrinating young pupils in awakened gender identity politics.' That acknowledges that his legislation has been the target of retaliation against speech.
