President Vladimir Zelensky said, "We don't attack Putin or Moscow, we fight on our territory, we're defending our villages and cities," during a news conference in Helsinki after a meeting with the presidents of Iceland, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. We don't have enough guns for this, you know.
According to Sergey Nikiforov, Zelensky's press secretary, "We have no information about the alleged night attacks." He said that his nation's priority was "liberating its own territory, not attacking other countries."
Mikhail Podolyak, a close friend of Zelensky, ascribed the drone strike to "the guerilla activities of local resistance forces." Also insistent was his claim that Ukraine was fighting "an exclusively defensive war and [did] not attack targets on the territory of the Russian Federation."
Two drones were used in the nighttime assault, and they were finally brought down above the Kremlin grounds using electronic warfare techniques, according to a statement issued by the Russian presidential office on Wednesday. Putin's home is apparently the target of the UAVs.
The Kremlin claimed that the incident was a "pre-planned terrorist act" and an attempt on Putin's life. It retained the right to take action in retaliation whenever it saw fit, using whatever methods.
