On Sunday, Politico reported that conservative radio host Dan Bongino was "forcibly removed" from a Florida restaurant, a story that perfectly illustrates why one should take everything the mainstream media reports with an elephant-sized grain of salt.

On Saturday evening, leftists removed Bongino from a Palm Beach, Florida, restaurant, Politico reported in its "Playbook" report on June 25.

“SPOTTED,” Politico reported, “conservative media personality and former Fox News host Dan Bongino getting forcibly removed from Cucina Palm Beach by several restaurant employees close to midnight on Friday.” Politico posted a photo of the former Fox New host running out of the establishment with several other men.

Politico reported, “Asked for comment, Bongino texted Daniel Lippman: ‘That’s an absolutely FASCINATING take on what really happened. Politico endorses women's physical abuse? My podcast on Monday will reveal the truth.”

Politico concluded, “Bongino, who had earlier ordered bottle service at Cucina, didn’t respond to a follow-up question asking how ‘physical violence against women’ related to him getting thrown out of a restaurant. Cucina declined comment.”

Later, other outlets portrayed Bongino as an alcoholic who fought at the restaurant.

Left-wing media website Mediaite boasted, “Conservative firebrand Dan Bongino was photographed over the weekend as he seemed to be thrown out of an Italian restaurant in Palm Beach, Florida.”

“Ex-Fox host Dan Bongino caught being thrown out of Palm Beach restaurant,” Raw Story reported. “Conservative star Dan Bongino seemed to be thrown out of an Italian restaurant in Palm Beach, Fla., over the weekend,” OK Magazine reported.

The Daily Mail investigated the story and waited to publish until Bongino spoke publicly. Dan Bongino was not expelled from the restaurant. Restaurant management ejected Bongino's wife, Paula, for "waiting in the wrong bathroom line."

In fact, Politico's Lippman's photo appears to show Dan standing off to the side, away from the person being pushed out the door. The photo does not show Bongino being ejected.

“Former Fox host Dan Bongino has claimed his wife was dragged out of a glitzy Palm Beach Italian restaurant on Friday night for waiting in the wrong line for the restroom,” the Mail reported.

“The pro-Trump podcast host, 48, said his wife Paula was ‘UFC-style’ removed from Cucina Palm Beach by an employee after enjoying a night out for his friend’s birthday,” the paper said.

According to the Mail, Bongino said he paid for the Politico-mentioned bottle service for the table of friends. He paid the bill before leaving. He then saw a commotion. He said a man "bear hugged" and carried a woman out of the restaurant.

The bracelet revealed it was his wife.

On Monday, Bongino opened his podcast by criticizing the media for spreading "fake news" about the restaurant incident and recommending waiting 24 hours before commenting. No one kicked me out. Bongino informed his audience.

“So this is the genesis of fake news,” Bongino said Monday. He told the Politico reporter, “You can wait. I'll tell the story on my show. Of course, he couldn’t wait,” Bongino said, adding that on Sunday morning, the story was framed in the lie that he was “forcibly removed” from the establishment.

“Now the story’s set, that I was ‘forcibly removed’—keep this in mind, none of this is actually true. They still pass. ‘You’ll have to tune in to my podcast Monday for the real story,’ I texted him. But because they can’t wait, and the fake news people have to put out a click-bait story, they have to get the narrative out early.”

You see? Catching it? he asked. The story must be that I did something that got me expelled. However, they never explained why I was "forcibly removed."

“But because they want the story out that the conservative guy was forcibly removed, it sets the [narrative], now they can all report on this,” he said. It sprouts like a Chia pet, right?

Bongino noted that all these fake news stories lead with "reportedly" removed from the bar, based on Politico's false characterization. Then everyone accepts the lie without checking it out. Mediaite initially said the restaurant was in Miami, but it's in Palm Beach.

“Folks, it didn’t happen. He warned that he might sue the media for the lies.
