Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie has publicly stated that if Donald Trump secures the GOP nomination in 2024, he will not lend his support. During an appearance on Fox News Tonight, Christie was posed the crucial question by host Lawrence Jones regarding his potential vote for Trump, who currently holds a firm grip on the Republican nomination. Initially evading a direct response, Christie eventually declared, "I will not vote for either of them" when asked about both Trump and President Joe Biden. Despite persistent probing from Jones, Christie remained resolute in his unequivocal stance.

"I'm saying I can't back him up," he explained.

"How come you can't?" Jones inquired.

Christie expressed her inability to support either candidate, citing concerns about their competency and qualifications for the presidency. She pointed out Joe Biden's age and televised appearances as the primary reasons for her reservation, while also expressing doubt about Donald Trump's chances of winning.

Christie asserts that Trump currently faces indictments in both New York and federal court, a scenario that may adversely impact his prospects of prevailing in the general election. The ex-governor raises specific concerns regarding Trump's post-office management of government documents. In this instance, Trump contends with 37 charges related to the alleged deliberate retention of classified material and obstructive actions impeding its retrieval, as alleged by the DOJ.

Trump has entered a plea of not guilty for all charges brought against him.
