Donald Trump, the former president, stated on Thursday that the Department of Justice has indicted him and that he must appear in court in Miami on Tuesday.
Joe Biden has 1850 boxes at the University of Delaware, additional boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette and which is'secured' by only a garage door that is paper thin and open most of the time, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump seems to be referring to the FBI's seizure of materials from his Mar-a-Lago home in August of last year when he refers to the "boxes scam." In November, Special Counsel Jack Smith was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to lead the inquiry. Trump willingly complied with a grand jury subpoena before the August raid and turned over papers to the agency. He described the investigation as a political witch hunt.
He said, "I have been ordered to appear before the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday at 3 PM. "I never imagined that a former president of the United States, who received more votes than any other president in our nation's history and who is currently leading all candidates in polls for the 2024 presidential election, both Democrats and Republicans, could experience such a thing. I AM A MAN WHO IS INNOCENT.
Trump has also made an effort to draw attention to what he believes is unfair treatment of his case in comparison to that of President Joe Biden, who was also under fire for allegedly mishandling classified information after news broke that a lawyer cleaning out his former office at the Penn Biden Centre in Washington had allegedly found such materials in November. Subsequent searches at Biden's own house uncovered sensitive materials, including a group kept in his garage.
According to reports, the documents contained critical intelligence data pertaining to Iran, the UK, and Ukraine. Trump has frequently seized on the disclosures, pointing out that Biden never had the power to declassify and hold files because he had only ever been vice president. Trump has said that the president has vast authority to declassify information and that the records in his possession were lawfully his to keep.
"The United States of America is truly facing a DARK DAY. We are a nation that is rapidly and seriously deteriorating, but together, we will make America great once more, he said.
