The Left's political witch hunt against the former president Trump only intensifies as he grows more powerful.

Trump defeated Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) in the straw poll at the Western Conservative Summit on Saturday, only 24 hours after his federal indictment was made public. In the straw poll, Trump earned 40.3% of the vote, while DeSantis garnered 35.8% of the vote.

Jeff Hunt, the summit's co-chair, asserted that Americans want a president who would not cave in to the political vengeance of the Democratic Party.

The findings are unmistakable: Western grassroots conservatives desire a warrior who would confront the radical Left and the institutions undermining American democracy, according to Hunt.

Participants at the summit voiced a strong desire to see Trump re-elected, stating that he always placed the U.S. first and fought more for the country's independence than any other president.

"Trump must return. Attendee Peter Boddie stated, "We owe it to him. "He accomplished more for Christians and conservatives than he did for us when he was in office. With the exception of times when members of his party, such as Mitch McConnell, or someone else stood in the way, he virtually always kept his pledges.

Others contend that the Left has unfairly singled out the former president, pointing to President Joe Biden's treatment after being found in possession of confidential information but receiving no repercussions.

Attendee Karen Farrand stated, "I believe it's obviously a target; I don't think he did anything different from probably everybody else with whatever their records when they leave office." "Whatever individuals do, he most likely followed suit. He is the intended victim.

Thousands of Trump supporters flocked to Georgia to show their unwavering loyalty to the 45th President. Excitement was palpable with some queuing hours in advance to get a front-row seat to his address, while others gathered at a nearby Waffle House to catch a glimpse of the charismatic leader.
