Deadly Shooting Spree in Baltimore: At least 2 Killed, Dozens Injured in Sunday Morning Tragedy

A shooting spree occurred early on Sunday morning in Baltimore, leaving at least two people dead and more than two dozen others hurt.

An 18-year-old woman was discovered dead at the scene, according to Acting Commissioner Richard Worley of the Baltimore Police Department. According to WBAL TV, three other people are in critical condition and another man, 20, also passed away.

Up to 20 victims arrived at local hospitals with their own transportation, and additional block party attendees were taken to hospitals by emergency personnel.

In a press conference, Worley confirmed that the shooting, which occurred just after 12:30 a.m. in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood of South Baltimore, resulted in a total of 30 casualties.

According to Worley, all of the victims were adults.

Although there is no suspect in custody, police are looking over surveillance footage from the scene and interviewing witnesses in an effort to find the killer or killers.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott made a statement at the scene, saying, "I want those who are responsible to hear me, and hear me very clearly. "We won't stop looking for you until we do, and we will. In the interim, I sincerely hope that every breath you take causes you to reflect on the lives you took and the lives you impacted here tonight.

Scott pleaded with anyone with information to come forward in order to help police identify the shooter.

Scott commanded, "Handle this as if it were your family." How you would want others to act if you were in mourning, if this was your neighborhood, or if this had occurred at an event in your community. As Baltimoreans, we must treat one another in this manner, so we ask that you do.
