Senator Calls for Emergency Session to Investigate DA's Actions and Indictment of Trump for Election Conspiracy

A Georgia state senator has requested an emergency legislative session to examine the recent actions of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. This request comes after a grand jury, as part of Willis' investigation into the state's 2020 elections, issued a 41-count indictment against former President Trump and 18 others. The indictment accuses them of participating in a criminal conspiracy to overturn the election results.

GOP Senator Colton Moore has formally requested an emergency session to assess the actions of Fani Willis, as conveyed in his post on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. The United States is currently facing an attack. I refuse to passively observe the politically motivated targeting of political adversaries by radical left prosecutors.

On Monday night, Trump and others were indicted for their involvement in a comprehensive conspiracy, encompassing allegations of racketeering aimed at overturning the election results.

In addition to his post, Moore suggested the potential impeachment of Willis, if deemed necessary. He also circulated a petition for individuals to endorse.

The petition states that the utilization of our justice system for political purposes, which burdens taxpayers, will not be accepted. I strongly advocate for the defunding of her office until a thorough investigation is conducted to ascertain the current situation. We must not passively observe while corrupt prosecutors selectively target their political adversaries.
