Despite the ongoing disagreement between Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican from Georgia, and former President Donald Trump regarding allegations of election fraud in Georgia, the governor's constituents seem to be content with his performance in office.

The governor of Georgia received a 58% approval rating in his home state, with 19% strongly approving of his performance and 39% somewhat supporting him. According to a SurveyUSA poll, 37% of respondents expressed disapproval of his job performance. This disapproval was divided into two categories: 20% somewhat disapproved and 17% strongly disapproved.

Kemp's net approval rating of 21% surpasses that of Trump, although the former president also received positive evaluations for his tenure. The ex-president garnered a 51% approval rating for his performance during his tenure, with 45% expressing disapproval.

The survey, conducted on August 15-16, involved 554 registered voters and has a margin of error of +/-5.2%.

Both figures have received positive ratings amidst their ongoing exchange of criticisms regarding the governor's decision not to endorse Trump's allegations of election fraud that supposedly resulted in President Joe Biden winning the state in 2020.

Governor Kemp stated this week that the 2020 election in Georgia was not subject to any fraudulent activities. For nearly three years, no one has presented evidence of fraud in a court of law, despite being given the opportunity to do so under oath. I assure that the elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair, and will remain so under my governance.
