The ongoing challenge faced by mediators is the resolution of a deadlock pertaining to the provision of essential supplies to civilians in dire need, as well as aid groups and hospitals.

The U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, engaged in diplomatic efforts by meeting with Arab and Israeli leaders prior to President Biden's visit. During a seven and a half hour meeting in Tel Aviv on Monday, Blinken aimed to facilitate an agreement on providing aid to Gaza.
