According to a source familiar with the talks, US President Joe Biden is planning to request a combined $100 billion package from Congress. This package will be allocated towards various purposes, including providing support to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and addressing the migration crisis at the US-Mexico border.

The White House has made a request, as reported by Bloomberg, that has not been publicly announced yet. This request comes at a time when the House of Representatives is facing a deadlock due to the absence of a speaker.

The purpose of the package is to address the challenges posed by congressional chaos. It aims to unite Democrats, who have been advocating for additional aid for Kyiv for a considerable period of time, with Republicans, who prioritize allocating funds to enhance border controls in the southern region.

On Tuesday, President Biden made phone calls to important allies in order to provide reassurance regarding the ongoing military aid that the United States provides to Ukraine. This comes at a time when the White House has issued a warning that the flow of aid could potentially cease within a few months if Republicans in Congress obstruct the approval of new funds.

In September, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a visit to Congress with the intention of persuading Republicans to continue providing aid to Ukraine. His primary goal was to seek assistance in protecting his country from potential Russian invasion.

The United States has faced significant pressure to provide support to Israel, a long-standing ally, as it engages in a conflict with Hamas. On Tuesday, Chuck Schumer, the Democratic Senate Majority Leader, expressed his intention to facilitate the approval of an aid package for Israel. He stated his hope to accomplish this goal within the upcoming weeks.

According to the speaker, the package will consist of various forms of assistance, including military, humanitarian, intelligence, and diplomatic support.

On Wednesday, the Senate is scheduled to address several important matters, including a resolution denouncing Hamas and a discussion regarding the confirmation of a new ambassador to Israel.

In recent months, there has been a noticeable increase in tensions surrounding Taiwan. Taiwan is a self-governing democracy that China claims as its own and has not dismissed the possibility of using force to take control of the island.

The official stance of the United States regarding intervention is characterized by ambiguity. The United States, which recognizes Beijing as the legitimate government of China, primarily emphasizes the provision of weapons to Taiwan for the purpose of self-defense. It has been stated by President Biden that he would support the deployment of American military forces in order to protect Taiwan.
