The United Nations announced on Thursday that Israel has issued an order for the evacuation of northern Gaza, which is inhabited by approximately 1.1 million individuals. However, this command is considered impractical due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and the militant organization Hamas.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a notice to Palestinian residents in the area, providing them with a 24-hour window to evacuate. This action has raised concerns among observers, who speculate that it may indicate the possibility of an imminent large-scale ground assault by the country. Approximately half of the population of the Gaza Strip is concentrated in the northern part of the territory.

According to a report by CNN, Hamas has advised residents in northern Gaza to disregard the Israeli Defense Forces' directive and remain in their homes. Hamas has accused Israel of employing tactics of "psychological warfare" against the Palestinian population. In a statement, Hamas expressed its concerns about the occupation's efforts to disseminate false propaganda through different channels. The objective behind these actions is to sow confusion among citizens and weaken the stability of our internal front.

Israel has launched a series of rocket attacks into Gaza with the objective of eradicating Hamas. This action was prompted by an offensive initiated by the militant group, which allegedly involved the tragic killing of children, the sexual assault of women, and the abduction of approximately 150 individuals.

The blockade of Gaza, announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has resulted in Palestinians being deprived of essential resources, including food. Furthermore, it is important to consider the risks associated with attempting to escape from an active war zone. Additionally, Egypt, located to the south, has expressed concerns about accommodating a significant number of Palestinian refugees.

According to the United Nations, as of Thursday evening, a significant number of Palestinians, totaling 340,000 individuals, have been displaced. The rate of mass displacement has witnessed a notable surge, escalating by 30 percent within a mere 24-hour period.
