An ex-employee of Taco Bell is suing the chain for damages after allegedly witnessing an orgy at a Christmas party.
Alvarado Restaurant Group, a franchise located in Colorado, was the owner and operator of the San Pedro restaurant where the event took place last year. Her boss, Lidia Ruiz, organized a Christmas party that Alana Bechiom, her sister, and her sister's partner all attended. According to TOO FAB, Bechiom saw that the restaurant's windows were covered in wrapping paper, and she also heard that her coworkers were given too many beverages at the potluck-style celebration.
According to her, at about midnight, she witnessed her male coworker engaging in sexual relations with his wife in front of the entire party. At the same time, she saw his wife kiss Ruiz and another female colleague. According to Bechiom, she bolted from the premises in disgust; however, when she came back for her guacamole bowl, she saw Ruiz puking into it.
Some of the other employees were vomiting into a trash can. After Bechiom filed a report, Taco Bell's human resources department terminated Ruiz and the other employees participated in the orgy. They broke her window as a means of revenge, and she later learned that her ex-coworkers had texted her insults like "stupid n f**ked up" and "slut."
According to Bechoim, Taco Bell and the owner chose to "transfer her to a new location rather than disciplining the employees who threatened her" instead of taking action about the claimed threats.

Claiming to have been "so overcome with significant stress, physical and mental illness and anxiety from the hostile work environment," she subsequently resigned her employment and reportedly reported the threats to the Los Angeles Police Department. Bechoim also left her employment at Taco Bell because of the toxic work environment, which caused her physical and mental health problems as well as anxiety.
Taco Bell stated that they are treating the accusations with the utmost seriousness, however it is unclear what damages she is requesting.
