In an attempt to prevent former President Donald Trump from winning the presidency again, a small number of Democrats from New Hampshire registered as independents and intend to support former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the GOP Primary on Tuesday.
Robert Schwarz of Primary Pivot said in a Daily Mail interview that over 3,500 Democrats re-registered as undeclared in order to participate in the GOP Primary. He told the newspaper, "We feel that Donald Trump poses a unique existential threat to our democracy." "And so people that put saving our democracy over partisanship should want to stop him."
According to Schwarz, Haley should have a one-point advantage against Donald Trump because of the tiny percentage of Democratic votes.
Hella Ross is one of the voters that re-registered. She said, "We have to make sure that Trump is not the nominee." A lady of color, that is. She is an American Indian. Regarding Haley, the seasoned Democrat said, "She's a military spouse." She thus has extensive experience in a variety of life domains. She also has a strategy. She has a strong argument. She is quite intelligent."
If a voter changes their registration to "undeclared voter" before October 6 of the preceding year, they are eligible to vote in either the Democratic or Republican Presidential Primary, according to the website of the New Hampshire Secretary of State.
During a rally on Tuesday, former President Trump spoke about the plan. "Nikki Haley in particular is counting on the Democrats and liberals to infiltrate your Republican primary," he said. During a different event, he reiterated the statement and said that it was not surprising "since her campaign is funded by Democrats."
Saturday brought to light Tyler Clark, the head of Haley's campaign in New Hampshire, having previously served as a lobbyist for the Democratic dark money group Sixteen Thirty Fund, which receives funding from Soros. During an interview with Fox News's Neil Cavuto, Andy Sabin boasted that the campaign was "raising tremendous amounts of money," adding that "a number of it [is] coming from Democrats." Haley Doner was there.
