Some records involving the infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein were opened on Wednesday night, after a federal judge's ruling that they will be unsealed after January 1. The documents included around 150 names of individuals affiliated with Epstein.
The dead pedophile was the subject of a lawsuit that resulted to the unsealing of over 40 papers, comprising hundreds of pages.
Not everyone was surprised to see familiar faces on the list. Prince Andrew of Britain was accused of having sex with an underage lady who was reportedly trafficked by Epstein and his companion Ghislaine Maxwell, while former president Bill Clinton was already named as "Doe 36" by ABC News.
Maxwell, who is now serving a 20-year jail term on crimes including sex trafficking and conspiracy, was one of the parties in the settled case that included that lady, Virginia Giuffre. All of these papers pertain to the case.
Victims and Epstein associates alike are on the list; some of the victims have appealed the decision to unseal the records in an effort to maintain their anonymity.
This is a developing story.
