A lady was undergoing managerial training at a McDonald's on South Main Street on December 28, according to representatives of the High Point Police Department. The woman's staff members were allegedly "disrespecting" her throughout the training.
Then, hoping for some help in handling matters, the lady contacted her husband, Pastor Dwayne Waden Sr., who was 57 years old, and informed him of the issue. On the other hand, witnesses at the incident said to the police that Waden approached the McDonald's restaurant, went behind the counter, and specifically targeted the employee.
Waden reportedly put both hands around the victim's neck and forced their head in the direction of a deep frying in the McDonald's kitchen, according to the police. Additionally, according to the police, Waden repeatedly struck the victim in the face and continued to do so until other staff members interfered and managed to remove Waden from the victim.
According to the police report, the victim had scrapes on his neck and a "large contusion" to his forehead and right eye. Emergency response personnel, according to the police, raced to the scene; nevertheless, the victim requested his relatives transport him to a local hospital.
Police claimed to have seen security camera evidence of the confrontation in addition to eyewitness accounts. "Our top priority is the safety and security of our customers and employees," they said.
