Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his dissatisfaction on Wednesday regarding Tucker Carlson's interview with him, claiming that Carlson asked him easy questions.

As reported by Politico, Putin shared with Russian interviewer Pavel Zarubin that he had anticipated a more assertive approach and probing inquiries. I was not only prepared for that, but I also desired it, as it would have allowed me to respond assertively in return. Putin expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, "However, he opted for a different approach."

The Russian president continued, stating that despite the journalist's attempts to interrupt, they were surprisingly patient and willing to listen to the president's lengthy discussions, particularly those regarding history. The president expressed gratitude that the journalist did not provoke the president to take the action they had prepared for. To be honest, I did not feel fully satisfied with this interview.

Carlson's recent interview with Putin in Moscow has generated significant controversy. It marks the first time a Western journalist has had the opportunity to speak with Putin since the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Throughout the extensive two-hour interview, Putin took the opportunity to delve into Russian history, sharing a detailed monologue. He also playfully teased the former Fox News host, Carlson, about his past rejection from the CIA.

During the interview's conclusion, Carlson inquired about the possibility of Putin accompanying him to the United States with jailed Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich. Carlson informed Putin that the individual in question is clearly not a spy.

Carlson's interview garnered an impressive number of likes on X, formerly known as Twitter, and a staggering amount of views on YouTube.
