On Wednesday, Former President Donald Trump reiterated his stance that he would withhold support from NATO members who fail to meet their defense spending goals, should he be reelected for a second term. Recently, there has been concern in Europe due to his statement about potentially urging Russia to target NATO allies who he believes are not adhering to the established guidelines.

During a campaign gathering in South Carolina, he recounted his alleged conversation with the leader of a NATO member country that had failed to fulfill its commitments. On this occasion, he refrained from making the most offensive remark by not telling Russia "to do whatever they want. It is important to note that we will not provide protection unless payment is made." Is that acceptable?" He mentioned Wednesday.

Following a previous occasion where he expressed his thoughts openly, Trump adhered more closely to his prepared remarks. He faced criticism for mocking Nikki Haley's husband for not being on the campaign trail. He altered his statements regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin. In previous statements, he expressed admiration for Putin, describing their relationship as one of great importance and commending Putin's strong leadership.

Trump, on the other hand, referred to an interview conducted by Putin on Russian state TV on Wednesday, where Putin expressed his preference for Biden as president.

According to Trump, Putin has expressed his dislike towards him.

Haley served as Trump's U.N. ambassador and was a significant contender in the GOP presidential race. She has been expressing her disapproval of Trump's remarks regarding her husband Michael Haley, who is currently deployed with the National Guard in Africa.

During the course of the week, Trump criticized Nikki Haley and highlighted his lead in the polls over her. Nevertheless, he focused his attention on President Joe Biden, whom he intends to challenge in the upcoming 2024 general election.

Biden strongly criticized Trump's remarks about NATO, describing them as concerning, contrary to American values, and surprising. In addition, Biden has advocated for a comprehensive foreign aid package to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend against Russia's aggression.

Trump has expressed opposition to providing assistance, suggesting instead that the US should offer Ukraine a loan.

He inquired about the reason for simply handing it over to them.

In addition, Trump attempted to clarify his remarks from January, during which he often mistook Haley for former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. This raised concerns about his mental well-being among the public. There is a significant amount of curiosity surrounding the potential second terms of both Biden, who is 81 years old, and Trump, who is 77 years old.

"I do not particularly like Nikki or Pelosi," he stated. "When I attempted to shift the topic, they responded with, 'He was completely unaware of the distinction between Pelosi and Nikki, or the cunning nature of Nikki.'" "In my opinion, neither of them has a pleasant scent." There is a certain connection between them.

Lately, Haley has attended a greater number of campaign events compared to Trump. Nevertheless, she refrained from attending any events on Wednesday. Don Bolduc, a dedicated supporter of Michael Haley, pursued a Senate seat in New Hampshire but unfortunately did not emerge victorious. He has since transitioned into a well-deserved retirement as a major general. Earlier on Wednesday, he conducted a news conference in order to address Trump's criticism of Haley.

A mobile sign near Trump's Wednesday night gathering has been displaying an ad from SFA Inc., a super PAC that supports Haley's campaign. The advertisement criticizes Trump for his remarks against the military, labeling them as inappropriate and misguided.

As the election season has progressed and the campaign has shifted to Haley's home state, Trump's animosity towards her has intensified.

Last month in New Hampshire, Trump seemed to dismiss the possibility of Haley as a running mate when he stated that she did not possess the qualities of a presidential candidate.

During his speech on Wednesday night, he made it clear that he strongly opposed her candidacy for vice president. The crowd erupted in boisterous applause.

However, Trump swiftly reversed his stance and started expressing admiration for South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, who withdrew from the presidential race in November. Scott has been linked to Trump as a potential running mate due to his endorsement and active campaigning for him, most notably on Wednesday night. Trump expressed to Scott that he believed Scott was a better choice for him than he was for himself.

In 2012, Haley helped Scott secure a seat in the U.S. Senate during her tenure as governor of South Carolina. Her son Nalin has been accompanying Haley at her events and has referred to Scott as "Sen. Judas" multiple times, drawing a parallel to the biblical tale of the disciple who betrayed Jesus Christ.
